These protocols will be put in place to protect you, the customer, and me the operator, in order to ensure that we are working in a clean, safe and healthy environment should COVID protocols be required in the future.
- Only one customer will be invited to the shop at a time. All visits will be by appointment only.
- Only one person should come to deliver the quilt. Masks must be worn when in the shop.
- Customers will be asked to confirm that they have not displayed any cold or flu like symptoms (fever, sore throat, coughing, etc.) for one week prior to their visit, as well as confirm that they have not travelled or been out of the province for 14 days prior to their visit to the shop. These questions are at the advice of Canada Public Health Authorities and the World Health Organization.
- When you deliver your quilt, it should be brought in a plastic bag so that it can be placed in a clean plastic bin for three days prior to my working on it.
- We will not be opening quilts when they are brought in, and therefore request that you digitally provide photos of your quilts either through email or text messaging;
- As much consultation as possible will be done through the telephone calls, email, or text messaging regarding patterns, thread colours and any other details.
- After each customer visit, the space will be completely cleaned. This will include washing handrails on stairs, any surfaces touched by customers, i.e. door handles, door bells, table, and so on. Hand washing facilities and hand sanitizer will be available, however caution will have to be used when using hand sanitizer to ensure that the quilts are not damaged.
- Quilts will be picked up curbside (placed in a bin on my patio). Payment can be made by cheque, cash, or e-transfer. I would ask that you look at your quilt as soon as is safely possible to ensure you are happy with the results.
Should it become necessary to implement these protocols, please note that the purpose is not to limit consultation, but rather to ensure that consultation is done in a safe manner. As the Canada Health Authorities relax the requirements, I will do the same. These protocols will ensure that we can all have a fun and safe quilting environment.
